October has been an outrageously awesome month. We truly enjoyed going to the Parker Playhouse to watch “Click Clack Moo, Cows that Talk.” Multicultural Literacy Night was an event to be remembered. The Storybook Parade was great fun and our second graders learned about character traits. The students’ Australia projects were sensational. Second grade truly outdid themselves, and it genuinely felt as though we took a journey through Australia. As we kick-off the month of November, we begin to embark on our Native American unit. Students will begin to read and research different Native Americans learning about the variety of tribes, traditions, homes, and cultures. Students will also be introduced to rich content area vocabulary throughout this unit. In math, we continue to build stamina and persevere through tricky multi-step word problems. Students are becoming more confident each day. We are proud of our second graders for putting forth an excellent effort this month and look forward to another successful month ahead!
