We were lucky to have two black history events this last month. On February 15th, we enjoyed the Black History Museum. It was very creative and interesting, and attended by many parents. We also had a fabulous performance highlighting musical and cultural facets of the African American Culture. This month is Women’s History Month. We will be reading and researching famous women who have contributed to our society. Please continue to encourage your child to read for a minimum of twenty minutes every night so they can reach their AR goal. We also look forward to celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday. In Math, we are continuing to practice 3-digit addition and subtraction as well as measurement and data. Reflex Math is a tool used to help our students become more fluent in addition and subtraction facts. Please utilize Reflex Math and i-Ready Reading over Spring Break. The second grade team wishes you a very happy spring break.
